I bought these because I wanted the sizes of the tongs, and after reading positive reviews. Have given them about a year's try. As some others have found, every time I use either of these, I get pinched! They also do not secure "wet" meats, etc. Oxo works much better. They're pretty, but not worth the money or frustration.

I BOUHGT THE TONGS BECAUSE I HAD PURCHASED A SET OF THE OTHER KITCHEN TOOLS THAT RACHAEL SELLS, SPATULA FLIPPER, ETC., AND I REALLY LIKED THEM. I AM AFRAID SHE HAS MISSED THE MARK WITH THE TONGS THOUGH. WHEN YOU PUSH THE END IN THAT OPENS THEM UP TO USE, THE TONGS WILL PINCH YOUR HAND. IT CAN REALLY HURT AND THE FIRST TIME I OPENED THEM, I WAS NOT EXPECTING IT TO HAPPEN AND IT ACTUALLY LEFT A PINCH MARK. THE TONGS THEMSELVES ARE ACTUALLY VERY NICE AND WORK GREAT AS FAR AS COOKING WITH THEM AND I DO LIKE THAT THEY WILL CLOSE FOR STORAGE. I KEPT THEM AND I AM JUST CAREFUL WHEN I OPEN THEM. THE TWO SIZES ARE NICE, TOO. IF YOU CAN GET PAST THE PINCH PROBLEM, THEY ARE QUITE USEFUL BUT IT WOULD BE NICE IF THEY COULD RETHINK THE PROBLEM AND CORRECT IT ON FUTURE SALES.

A must have for your kitchen. Rachael Ray 2 piece tong set is well worth the money. Very well made. I have a couple of cheaper tongs that I have purchased in the past which pale in comparison to the quality of Rachaels'. Great purchase.
